So i have 50 kg of ready mades laying around. Not a bad boilie, but they are so freaking hard. Not like marbles, just so tough. They consist of some fish meal, maize, soy, albumin, wheat meal, pretty standard and pretty ok. They have been steamed so they are tough through and through.
Have some in water atm, 3 days in, and honestly, the boilies are not impressed.
Cooked a few, 2 minutes and 5 minutes, but once again the boilies are not impressed.
I now have some enzymes on order, see where that gets me in my quest to make them softer.
But in the meantime, does anybody has the golden tip to make boilies softer in a relatively short time. Maybe some additive, although in my experience most only make them harder. Ideally i want them to swell up and take in moisture but i feel i need something to force that to happen.

Pressure cooker.
Pressure cooker.
I used Squid (Fish) Sauce to soften up ready mades before. Took a while but was very happy with the results & the salt content seemed to stop them going off / mouldy.
Tx lads, i will dabble a bit with the suggestions. Must get a pressure cooker, that's a radical idea, and since they are really tough, the go to solution.
