As title, I'm using the Daiwa just now but getting itchy fingers for some fully corked 1
0ft retractable Scopes. Has anyone had both that could give
me some advice ?

I can't see the point of replacing one set of decent rods with and identical spec albeit a cork handle.

I would stick with Diawa if I were you. Heard mixed reports about the scopes.

You're swapping reputable rods by a reputable rod manufacturer for a company that brought you fake grass walkways, candle light bivvy heaters and Hooligun reels.

The daiwa are far superior the scopes are overpriced cheaply made imo I would put them around the sonik insurgent standard but there half the price the only reason they sold so many they were the first to make a small pack down size rod
If someone like free spirit or Harrison had made retractables then scopes would have been left on the shelf
No brainier stick with daiwa

It was mainly the pack down size also they looked a more through action rod. My Daiwa are quite stiff.

But these daiwas are x45 there in a different world mate and they are 60inch and scopes are 50 does it make to much difference
Take it from me I've been carp fishing over 40 years been an utter tackle tart you could fill Wembley stadium with the gear I've had so I am no big expert but I've seen a lot
You will regret changing

No one of sound mind would swap daiwas for scopes.

Why does anyone need a retractable unless they are travelling / genuinely need a small packdown size (eg carrying on a bike) Just more bits to go wrong / wear and tear etc
Most peeps I see with Scopes still have oversize Frontier bivvies and a cooking station on the go . . .

Totally agree, never saw the point of retractable rods. Every person ive seen using them had a net with a 6 foot handle anyway so pointless.
