Hi all,

After some of my experiences last year, I need to find a small tough bivvy with a sewn in groundsheet.

I was looking at the solar spider, any views on it greatly received.

Think black widows and rattlesnakes and you can see my issues.

You've gotta go local haven't you? If people are camping in these place I'd trust them more than I would UK brands where we're more worried about hedgehogs and bluebottles!

in that situation I would definitely go with a bivvy with a inner capsule! Completely sealed when all zipped up. If you choose normal groundsheets, even zip in, it will still leave a gap at the base of the door. Maybe Sonik AXS XL V2 or Nash titan if you can get them? Or buy a mongoose

You have a lot of very good tent makers in the USA , primarily I believe for hunting purposes. Surely one of the makes a smaller version suitable for fishing as most of the hunting tents are huge.

I have the Solar spider compact, goes up very easily and packs down quick, appears quality to me 👍
