The answer is there is no best... Only different.
No one knows about the brand new v2 of the delkim txi-d yet because they only came out just this week, I think?
They are supposed to have a new coating on the circuit boards to help protect against water, but similar sales blurb about performance accompanied the V1 txi-d
What will be interesting is what happens to the new prices of the txi-d V1 stock.
Delkim notoriously do not like retailers discounting, and even strike them off supply if they flout the rules... But are they going to be allowed to discount the old model now, and will people want them now the new model is here?
I love the silhouette shape of the rx plus, my favourite looking alarm was the fox micron sx, but I cannot stand the new style Fox have used for the features like those dials and the imprinted text logos on the front, I could not pay that money for such a disagreeable style to me.
The Delks are my choice, but Delkim have let themselves down a lot with a poorly executed v1 txi-d, no way to upgrade those to v2 and no apology or deals to people who only recently bought a set of txi-ds. The illuminated hangers are also having to be re-released with changeable led colours now, if they don't release an upgrade kit for those it will be a travesty and might actually make me avoid Delkim in future.
I don't even own any illuminated hangers but would still take it badly if they don't do it, as it would cement their reputation as serial ditches and quitters rather than a company that wants to be liked by their customers.
Release v2 txi-d with no upgrade path for existing owners.... OK, but sucks badly.
V1 receiver not compatible with v2 txi-d, now that's a fair bit worse imo
Having customers buy a new hanger system because they refuse to make one small component available would be too far imo.
So if Delkim are reading this please pull your fingers out and get those thinking caps on, eh?

I must admit, I find the premium alarm offerings poor at present.
Ive always had delks and recently bought the new EVs however I think they are naff. They bleep in the rain, the dials are a ******* to adjust, the way they work to adjust settings such as the blinding LEDs/ tone etc is a pain. Not a fan at all.
The Fox alarms look like they've been designed by children with marker pens. Bloody awful.
I'm going to try the Gardner efforts. No one seems to moan about those!

I've watched a video of the sonic hero x alarms.today, 3 plus 1 and a bivvy light for 90 quid....the features look spot on, the bivvy light is linked to the reciever and even lights up in the centre which colour alarm has gone off, drop back, sensitivity, led colours change...alot of alarm for not alot of money....and they run on aaa batteries
