Has anyone found garlic salt to be effective in bait?
I've seen some anti caking agents on the product list of a few I've looked at. This has put me off using it, but then again I'm sure most supermarket spices also use them.
I have found a himilayan pink salt with added garlic but then again you could add both ingredients separately haha

Never tried garlic salt but the i wouldn't worry about the anti caking agent - generally it around 0.5% from memory and is calcium silicate so pretty much inert.
Non of the above is fishing related however, just professional experience from working in food industry.

Easy to add garlic powder and salt to your mix as you said. Probably more beneficial as you can up the quantity of garlic.
Both things are great fish attractors, salt being a natural necessity for osmoregulation which they can't find in freshwater readily, and garlic being a feed stimulant and having medicinal benefits too.
