Moved back to South London for a while, was looking at Walthamstow as a potential venue to visit. Whats the crack then? pay at the gate then find a few?

Walthamstow is the one. Self service day ticket and off you go...

Could work out cheaper for a season ticket if using it a lot

You could try wapping basin.or Greenland dock which is Surrey quays.
