Just bought a ticket to go first weekend August. Not the sort of lake I generally go but as meeting a friend had to choose somewhere in the middle for us.

Tried finding some info but not much online. My understanding is out of the 12 booked swims only 8 on at the time so have some movement choosing your spot which is nice on the day, can at least have a walk and look for moving fish. Can anyone tell me which part of the lake is the deep end? (They say its between 4 - 12ft and with weather showing to be near 25 degrees would prefer the deep end).

For anyone fished it what sort of tactics have been the winner on this lake. I know its a hard lake and not expecting anything just like being prepared

Winters is of relatively uniform depth averaging 9ft throughout with a deeper area of 12ft towards the northeast corner. Weed is abundant through the summer months but clear patches can be found with diligent use of a lead or marker float, there are also a number of islands and reed-fringed margins which provide cover and can be very productive areas to fish to.
