a mate of mine has RT4 bait boat which has lost pairing with the controller - any advice on how to fix that please? thanks

Can you get inside to see what receiver it's got ? What brand of control is it using ?

I could be wrong here but if you take the battery tray out on mine slightly forward right hand side attached to the vertical of the inner hull is a roughly 6cm x 3cm chip board which is attached by velcro. It may or may not be the receiver, it's ringing a bell but so is a lot of other stuff, it might be a controller, whatever, stuff isn't that easy to get too.
There's a Facebook group called the unofficial Carplounge group where this has probably been covered, there's quite a lot of good stuff on that group. Don't try the official CL group for this sort of advice. There are pics of opened RT4s on the UCLG.
The cost of opening the boat was not too indifferent, Joe Jacobs v Carp Lounge, think it was £200 JJ & £250 CL, P&P was £45 on top from CL and it cost me £77 to post it to them.

Curious why would you not deal with Carplounge themselves? Despite what you read online I have found their customer service top notch every time I needed something. Would also benefit to know your mates location.

I should have mentioned wait times, peak season now could be up to 4 months at CL, mine was 8 weeks in Feb. Worth considering if you have a trip coming up.

Give either of these guys a bell they may be able to talk you through it over the phone, I think Joe tends to not deal with RT4s if he can help it

He was o.k with me quoting for a dragonfly or deeper fit, but he does like the Toslon
