Hi All,

Could anyone recommend a decent but wallet friendly 12ft Application rod please? Max cast would probably be just over 100 yards.

I have two Tackle Box Darent Valley 12ft spod rods that I use for, marker, leading and spod work. Around 4 1/2 - 4 3/4lb TC.

This is the newer version and a little more money than I paid in 2020.

CTX 10' SPM is my current favourite - not mega distance but enough for most marker work / small to medium spombing - also use mine for spopper work on river

Any other recommendations here please?

I bought a cheap second hand spod rod last year to get by, but it's not nice to use TBH

Just bought 2 of the shimano tx plus extreme rods for marker and spod setups. Very very nice. But also paired them with the super spod reel from daiwa which may also be a contributing factor
