I'm looking out for a pair or ss2600's to finish off an old 'retro' setup. Thought I could pick some up second hand so they came with some wear and tear, figured with a service (if needed) I'd be sorted.
I can pick up two new for about £250 which seems to be the prices they are advertised for second hand and I thought top end s/h for a pair would be £130 - £150. Not interested in black spools, carbon washers etc but it seems every second hand pair out there have been done up one way or another.
Am I miles out with what I should be paying for second hand?

Have a look on Market Place, Ebay etc. That should give you some idea of Market value.

Yeah I've been watching for a while, just staggered people are trying to sell at more than or the same as new.

Funnily I've mentioned thos on here recently. I've regularly seen standard SS2600s go on ebay for more than you can buy them new. I really don't understand why.

I ended up buying two SS2600's new as cheaper than second hand on EBay!
