Cannot comment on the trakker but I've just purchased the frontier x and love it.
There is a significant price difference between the 2 so perhaps they should not be compared. The X can be had with an overwrap for £550. The RS is between £850-£900!

I would say get the tempest, I have a frontier xd for longer sessions and french trips, but having used for maybe 10 sessions max i've had a front pole come out of the centre boss twice and it's a **** to get back in, Its decent when up and loads of room but I can just tell it wont last long.

Been looking at the Frontier X as I am after a bivvy that can take an extension. Do they only do the Deluxe extension or do they also have a social cap like the Trakker RS range?

I had the front peak pole come out of my frontier x. I couldn't get it back in with brute force. I took the boss apart and replaced the pole. Easy enough job following a video on youtube.
Since doing this 2 years ago its been spot on.
The bivvy is now 3 years old and as good as new (bar spod splash stains) and gets used 2 nights every week, so they do last well.

Trakker doesnt seem to be very high. Im currently using a Nash Titan Hide XL Camo Pro and the headroom is far superior, which has put me off getting the new Trakker 150.

Both models share the same overall height, but you'll notice that the Titan Hide XL has a lower door compared to the Tempest RS. I'm a tall person, and with the Tempest RS 100, even after extending my bed legs and placing a chair on top, there's still plenty of space!
RE: Frontier vs Tempest. I've had both and would pick the Tempest. I never had the poles come out the Frontier but have had friends complain about it. Fairly sure this is good old user error... The tempest now going back to the original aquatexx material ticks every box for me.
I never really liked the frontier, it always felt cumbersome, heavy, horrible color and strange shape, so my opinion maybe slightly bias.

I had the left pole pop out twice, first time I used a lot of force and a piece of wood to hit it,
When it came out a couple of weeks ago I folded the main poles held the bivvy upside down with the block flat on the ground, lined up the pole and it popped back in really easily
