I thought I would give this line a try in 15lb and to say I'm disappointed is an understatement.It casts and sinks ok but the abrasion resistance is shocking.I reeled in to pack up and noticed about two foot up from my lead the line was all crinkled up and when I pulled it snapped like cotton.Has anyone else had any issues with it at all

Point of order, it was 12lb. Very concerning that it was so wiry / coiled at that b/s.
Won't be going anywhere near the 15lb.

The 15lb felt really smooth and limp,as I say the abrasion resistance is terrible so it's in the bin.I have messaged Solar but don't expect a reply

I've just spooled up with the 15lb bullet proof line. Nice and limp and sinks well as you say.
Last session I had a fish which tore off through some Norfolk reeds , I had to use maximum pressure to try to get it out and eventually the hook pulled, this was on a pva bag , so no leader at all, line came back crinkled but just smoothed it out with my fingers and it seems fine !
I loaded it as described soaking it for two hours in warm water and the direction they advise on the packaging, I was impressed how limp and well behaved it was for newly spooled line on that first session.
Interesting to hear your comments though and I'll certainly keep an eye on it now ! Was your line chafed to the eye or just crinkled?

I know couple lads that said the same after using the solar bulletproof, the abrasion resistance was shocking ..
I'm sure certain member said look no further than using this line .. best thing since sliced bread 😂 lesson learned bradders stick to what you know works 👍🏻

It just looked really badly crinkled,like it had been crunched up into a tight ball.When I pulled it to try straighten it it snapped so easily.

After reading your post I went to my rods and tried to break it with my hands , I couldn't and it was starting to cut into my skin so stopped. Visually it looks fine with no scuffs or marks on the line, and feels fine running through my fingers.
I'll keep an eye on it now, I fish a very weedy lake which hasn't come up yet so that will be a test when it does.
We're you fishing through weed or over gravel or some other abrasive bottom ?

I was fishing to a margin spot near some snags,I've fished it before and never had anything like this happen before.Im a bit gutted to be honest as it casts and sinks so well better than syncro imo just lost confidence in it now 👍

Totally understand that, I was the same with crimps, had one slip and lost a fish, no matter how many guys on here reassured me they are bomb proof I couldn't use them again.
We get so few chances that you have to have no doubts about any item of tackle.
Should I get any issues with it I'll be sure to post on here 👍

Same for me on this, spooled up with 15lb it was awful, coiled up like nothing I've ever seen before, stripped it straight off and back to syncro xt, there is nothing close il never experiment again it's pointless.

It was terrible so bad when I put it on the reels I thought well maybe I've put it on wrong and it must be put on in a special solar only way. Nope goes on like every other line it's just rubbish. I've used limper flourocarbon mainlines than that stuff
