What are your thoughts on this from DNA? Another gimmick? Surely the same thing or better can be achieved by coating in some liquid aminos and say a powdered hydro?

I'd imagine Jason's noticed a gap in the product range hes plugging, can't blame him,
coming at the likes of Goo from a angle of different attractants.

Just a new wheel, not a reinvention of, as you say it can be done in other ways, whatever makes you happy or gives you confidence.

Looks like whatever the base was to the Mainline smart liquid has now become widely available. So other companies are getting on the band wagon in terms of their products.

Not seen the DNA one but do think the smart liquid is good in terms of clouding up and spreading through the water column.

Definitely be good to hear how you get on with it. Only thing that bothers me with this sort of thing is, if I catch using it it's pretty near impossible to not use it on every other chuck forever and ever

There's no 'widely available base' used. The smoke is developed from scratch as with all DNA's products. We don't buy in boilies, over flavour pop ups or rebrand others liquid blends. As always we do things the right way, as much as others may want to believe differently.

This one is slightly different, for a start it is not made from 50% water. It also contains 35% liquid food and took much longer to get right rather than just a base with an added flavour. All 3 of them have slightly different reaction times with the SLK being the slowest because the food contains CLO. It may make a difference to your angling, it may not. It will depend on what kind of fishing you do. The anglers that tested it thought so, but of course with any product like this it can be subjective.

As always the choice is there with these products. You either buy it or you don't. If you do, thanks. If not no problem

It would appear there is a widely used base liquid.... Albeit it may not be in your particular product.

As mentioned before, no, it is not in our liquid. I was simply addressing your inference that it was, not the fact it is on the market

Used it last week had a 15.8 and a little cricket bat common as well
I used it in pva bags and also made up some insect ground bait and made them up at home and put holes in them before freezing, then I filled up the holes in each one with the smoke and catapulted them out over my spot and put a bag out over them.
I done this because the water is very deep maybe 4' tops the bird life can spit bright bait easily so I only use dark bait including pop ups.
I'm trying it out on the canal in few weeks doing 4 days on there after another 30 so I'll see how it goes, impressed so far but I like the DNA range excellent range nothing mega complicated with it.
On another note my brother just come back from a commercial and was having a fish a chuck on the pole doubles upwards all over pellets soaked in DNA's cayenne pepper liquid while guy next to him was having a fish every 30 minutes

I highly rate the Crayfish range, the mini hookers are a great hookbait, I might have some of the heavy feeder mix on order

I asked Jason a while ago about some intense boosters for the Crayfish & peppered squid, I really hope it happens at some point, asked again last week.

I kind of hope a Crayfish boilie is in the offing, even better if it was called Red Signal and made up of the invasive species from this country....now there's a idea!

Having said that I'm happy with S7 as a fish/marine boilie since launch, what I'd really like is a milk/nut/birdfood...maybe one day!

I also think there's a crayfish boilie to be made after all there's a range already there and my brother likes using the pellets when he's on a commercial, also red signal is a great name for it I'm hoping to use the feeder stuff in pva bags in a few weeks on the canal almond with the smoke with my thinking it may stop the carp in their tracks as they move up the canal but obviously I'm prevailing from next week as well give me a better chance of at least one.
Tried the S7 last year along with the bug and SLK and had fish up to 27lb from a public lake along with a tench too and a few 20's which isn't bad considering how accessible the lake is and hard it is.

I think I've probably now caught more fish on Crayfish mini hookers over S7 than I have on any dedicated S7 hookbait! A crayfish amino smoke wouldn't go amiss either.

Crayfish flavour is a long known attractor way back I used Richworth iirc, the smaller sizes were deadly for big Tench on a water I was fishing.
Are you sure?
