I'm seeing om shimanos social media that theure re-eleasing an improved technium black line...now if this better than the old stuff it's going to be incredible. anyone ordered any or used it??

I am currently spooled up with some of the 'newer' tech black (the one that came after the tin packaging) that I bought 2 or 3 years ago and think it's still great line.
When they first changed it I tried CM90 and ESP Synchro XT but was unhappy with both (stretch and poorly behaved respectively) so re-tried the technium and much preferred the newer version to both and have stuck with it ever since with no regrets.

I've used the 12lb (0.33mm) black almost exclusively for carp fishing since early 2000s (used to cost £30+ in a tin) thru to more recent cheaper priced packaging without tin. Originally bought in breaking strain and more recently by diameter (0.32mm) and I can honestly say I've not felt there has been much difference. It rarely need to respooling and I only respool when spool capacity drops. I love the stuff and wish they would bring out in 8lb in black.
The Invisitec version behaves a little different and I'm not convinced on the clear/pink hue of the latest version of Invisitec but do use it in 0.25/0.26 (8lb) but would prefer black.

Anything above 12lb in either version is not the most user friendly but I don't think there is a better 12lb line available. There has definitely been stock issues getting to the UK over last 5-10 years and would be great if this gets resolved

I don't think they officially make the 0.32mm/12lb any more? I have the last of mine on the reels now. When I have looked more recently it's only available as 0.305mm and 0.355mm with greatly exaggerate breaking strains.

I bought this line in 2019 iirc, not in a tin, think it was a changed version to that, folks on the forum recommended it. I have to say I found it horribly wiry, I didn't like it at all. I'd be interested to know what people think of the new one that's coming out in comparison to the original and I may give it another go.
Am I alone in not liking the version I had or is that hard wiriness normal for this line?

Folk on here said the old stuff was great, I assume that was the canned stuff. Folk also said that the none canned stuff wasn't anything like the original (that's the stuff I had).
I guess the jurys out on the new stuff but was the older canned stuff also hard and wiry?
If it was and the new stuff is going to be anything like it I'll steer clear

When I used the 'non-can' version I always found it well behaved, although I did tend to use the 0.32mm version.
However it was the 0.35mm I used prior to switch to synchro and cm90 and gathered this to either of those in the equivalent diameters.

Thanks for the reply mate. I just found it not very limp for want of a better word, maybe tht's just how it is with the solid core, I've never used it before then so wouldn't know.
