Do you guys charge yours every time you've used it, regardless of length of use, or can you tell when it's time to charge it and do it every few trips?
One thing I discovered having not used mine for years, I saw new info on their site saying always charge it for 12 hours, as the green light is a trickle charge and doesn't mean it's fully charged, I'm sure they never told us that then, might be wrong.

I'm guessing it runs on sealed lead acid batteries you need to regularly charge them batteries as if left over long periods and not charging the batteries they become knackered quickly . The sealed lead acid ones I had on my Nash power barrow I used to charge them every 8 weeks and in less than 2 years they were knackered

I got mine secondhand, so don't really know the condition of the batteries. I put it on charge straight after a trip, then a top up the night before the next trip if it hasn't been used for a while. I mainly do days only and use a push along for those, so sometimes it can be a while between uses.

I don't use the charger supplied, prefer to use a really good quality charger I have for my motorcycles.
I check the voltage with a meter and only charge if below 12.5 v
I had my MK 6 for quite a few years and never had any battery issues with the above procedure, but have heard of batteries getting cooked if left plugged in to the supplied chargers.
Had to buy another charger for my 24v Extreme.

So are you saying if it's still 12.5v or above (I assume then that's 25v for two batteries) it's good for another session, as just checked mine after use (mk6 24v) and it's reading near enough 25v, what do they read when fully charged then?
To clarify, the reason I asked in the first place is when going most weeks, sometimes I have to go half a mile or more and other times 50yards. Just thinking that after the shorter runs it's surely still good for the next trip or am I wrong and you should always charge it regardless?

I've had my 24v nearly 6 yrs....
It's never let me down except for one return trip to the van..
After that when ever I get to swim I always unplug the battery terminal,had no issues since ( maybe some battery drain)
Most of my distance on my sindycate is 3/400 yds and I get at least 5 visits before charging👍
Once in my van battery's are unplugged again and stay that way until n t trip,I then plug batts in again to make sure green light glows 👌

If you check the batteries just after a full charge they will probably read 13.5v or even higher
Then if left for a few days they'll gradually reduce to high 12's
Fully charged they should do do a few miles so if max half a mile you should not need to charge before every session
