Changed to a Eblem spod reel recently and its been holding up well.
Can you change this to a quarter turn lock on the drag on front of spool. The one i bought (second hand) needs turning several times to full lock from fully open.
If so can anyone recommend best places to get the conversion kits from?

I seem to remember doing it years ago by just removing the spring in the cap and replacing it with a suitable sized nut, can't remember having to actually do anything to the spools, maybe I only semi QD'd it 🥴

Not your fault, but that video is a pile of tosh.
Basically the majority of the difference is down to thre drag cap and very little to do with the change of the washers.
I have qd'd several daiwa reels and a few shimano, I have never needed to change the original washers.
Replacing the spring in the drag cap for a plastic spacer of a similar size is all that is needed.
I did a post on my fb blog page showing how to qd the original drag caps.

I got a custom reel king drag cap for mine and it was great. Excellent quality as its anodised aluminium and had a nice red detail on front to match the red spod logo on the reel. Just remove old cap and screw new one on, job done. Only £20 as well.

Fairly straight forward by carefully separating the cap into two halves and replacing the spring with a nut.
If you're still unsure, then Stuarts suggestion would be the way to go....
