Hi have the mrk4 actor with the GPS upgrade.
I only really use it for pike fishing and the battery used to at least
Last one long session sometimes two.
This winter the battery is dying after one 100m drop
Do you thunk this could just be a battery issue or something else.

I have ordered a new battery and just waiting in it to arrive.
Has anyone else who uses them had any other issues that may drain the
Battery

If your not using / recharging regularly the batteries can deplete quickly - its bargain Chinese tech what do you expect!

I can see standard batteries fitted have a capacity of 5ah with a typical run time of 2.5 hours with 5 hours to charge.

Quick google didn't come up with anything on battery issues.

1) Did you contact them for advice before purchasing replacements?
2) How old were the batteries (typically last 2-3 years)\ how many times have they be charged (charge cycle life probably around 200 cycles)
3) Where were the batteries stored ?
4) If the batteries were stored with less than 40% charge left then it's possible it dropped too low thus they are kaput.

Rechargeable battery technology is great but when stored away for a length of time they have to be looked after.
That's the downside they're not maintenance free.
