Morning all,

I am looking to obtain a spod/marker rod in the near future and i am hoping that there is a consensus on the site for recommending a good Spod reel.

I have Okuma Obsidians on my rods so i was hoping i could find something that could at least look similar to them.

This is what i have my eye on atm:

Its not really a spod reel, its a re-badged spinning reel. Remember a spod reel takes far more stick than any other reel you'll use, that doest look like it will stand the test of time.

Johnson Ross do good deals on pre loaded Shimano reels. The Aerlex stands the test of time.

Angling direct are doing the Daiwa emblem 35 scw spod reel at a very good price of £69.99 worth snapping it at that price at the moment be quick as they won't last long at that price

I spotted this yesterday. Was debating to buy some for spares at that price but let it go. Looked today and all sold out. Was a bargain for sure they are excellent reels
