I've stumbled across a set of these reels on a well known auction site, and ended up buying them because they looked too cheap to ignore. I'd never heard of them before, are they known under another name? Also does anyone know what the PM stands for? I believe the H is ‘high speed'.
Also interesting in hearing if anyone has fitted upgrades like line clips, carbon washers etc.

Great reels mate, old work horses like emblems, longbeams etc. Use PM7000h's myself. As far as upgrades go I haven't touched the drag just swapped the two bushings either side of the drive gear for bearings. There's a bloke on eBay that supplies a bearing upgrade kit for your reels although I'm sure you could do it cheaper if you sourced the bearings yourself.

Cheers mate, do you know if they size up the same way as the emblems? I don't have my hands on them yet but interested to know. Does the bearing change make much of a difference?

I Have a few pm4's
bearing swap is worth doing just for piece of mind.
line clips easy enough with loads on offer from various suppliers, i have teflon washers in mine.
The reels last forever

The gs are the same reel gs = gold spool.(Sorry Graphite spool )Pm were the entry level reels which came before emblems . Still have a set of pm which i bought 40 years ago still as they came out of the factory.
