Currently in the middle of a 3 night session last full day today,so the lake is public very silty and overgrown around 5/6 fishable swims including the very shallow area at other end,now weather was bad last night I'm all wrapped up with second skin on my bivvy rods in water and went to use my boat and got it stuck out in lake batteries had run low(Duracell)forgot to get some back up ones,anyway got it back and put all rods to left so they were in catapult distance and spread a load of bait (left spomb rod at home)which was all,bug and S7 all over.
Well this morning saved the day I've had a lovely 27lb common out (apparently there's one mirror in here)every fish I've had from here has been a common,anyway my biggest fish since my pb from canal which was 32lb 4.5 years ago.
To say I'm buzzing is an understatement absolute confidence in DNA
If you read this please be nice about what I've put it's just how I feel right now out in the rain and a bit of coldness but they seem to be getting bigger I've now had 4/5 20's out of this lake in last 2.5 years so I'm doing something right,and a day after my dads anniversary as well maybe he was looking out for me and rewarded me.....who knows

3 carp including 2 20's in August and an 18.5
A 14.5 in September
And now a 27
This lake is throwing up surprise after surprise I want that mirror if it's in here it's only a rumour although I did see a picture of the alleged fish.
In 9 years of fishing it since I came home to midlands I've had one tench from here and all commons nothing else it's crazy.
But I'm intrigued to see what else I can have out

Thanks guys packed up and home now but not before finishing the session off with a nice 17.4 common at 1:10am in the pouring rain.....and I will say I have utmost confidence in DNA as the fish just keep coming and bigger and bigger too from this lake,last 3 Octobers I've had a 20 from there just wish there were more mirrors in the lake only one apprently and it's a 20.
Oh and a question will delkims work after they been submerged under water as that's what happened about 2' plus ended up on the lake maybe more as it came right up the slope and I broke my prodding stick I use for safety as well but that can be fixed.

They can do as I posted in the reliability thread, you never know you may be lucky. Take the batts out and let them dry, then when you think they are, let them dry some more.

To top it off my bloody batteries in my RC For my waverunner run out as the boat was coming back luckily the wind sent it towards me and I managed to get that back too

Thanks mate I love my fishing I also love being out in any weather I loved being out in all that rain while it's dark plus it gave me a chance to try my new wrap out and my new head torches(from temu) and my bed chair buddy all passed with flying colours and looks like my delkims are still working to.
I can't believe that all the carp I've had out of the lake are all commons I've had around 15 plus fish and I've seen/heard of a mirror in there around 22-25 which I'd like and I'd be there in the snow if it means I've got a chance of getting out😂😂😂😂😂
I also seem to have got a grip of the lake in the 9 years I've been on there on/off I don't follow what others do or tell me,like fish single baits like bright pop ups,I like to do my own things and work it out myself I think anything bright attracts to much bird life and there's 2 swans on there that can reach your baited areas when the water is down certain times of the year,I find dark baits and a dark pop up to match works really well,as well as a bit of paste wrapped around a hook bait to and a pva bag glugged in some dna hydro just to get some attraction in that slot get them rummaging around and also a few loaves of bread chucked in a quiet corner distracts the bird life and I get left alone.
