Good evening,
I happened upon this product from Carp Tart and wondered if anyone had used or got experience with it?
There's a rather unconvincing video of Lee Jackson explaining what it does, interesting concept if it actually works, look forward to any feedback or information on the Bagless Wonder.
Thanks in advance

Can you still get these ? Remember these from a long time ago but never actually used one myself although they do look like a good idea for short range fishing

I'm assuming they're still available as I saw it on TB web site, it looks simple and I suppose the principle is not so whacky as to be unbelievable.

Can't put links or photos on but you can find it on the TB website by putting Bagless wonder into their search tool.

I've got both sizes been sat in a drawer for years. I used mine to make hard groundbait pellets for my bait boat, and for use on stringers (I used the Nutrabaits dissolving boilie pellets many years ago and liked the idea), I suppose the equivalent of the mini pva sticks now) once dissolved.

A quick search shows Carp Tart have a website Click here

Edit, I started using the Nash ball makers at launch and the BW got relegated, but I kept breaking the plunger lid on the ball makers. I think once the present ball maker breaks, its back to the BW.

EDIT, might also be worth looking at pellet cones, similar sort of idea but more for fast dissolve in match fishing.

I have had one for several years. Only use them for close in work at it doesn't take a cast very well. I am concerned about pva being around the bait so I thought this would be the answer. I use a good helping of Sensas PV1 in the mix to stop it breaking up too soon.

Thanks,
Assumed there would need to be a goodly amount of binding agent,👍👍👍

Jic, If your thinking about making the pellets in advance have a play with mixes first. I use method mix slightly drier than normal but in my quest to get the right mix I found a few mixes when pelleted would expand and blow given time. The method mix I use has no dedicated binder as such but does bind very well.

The only thing I wish the BW had was a larger plunger top, I always used a tea towel as it can be hard on your hands.

I have the 2 sizes
Usually I use sticks so it saves on pva
Grind up some boilies and put the crumb to the device and push it onto your foot or bucket lid.
3x 15mm boilies gives a nice little spread

Thanks,
I did look at that in the past but prefer the way the BW has a hole through the centre.

It's an old concept, many years ago, Badger tackle used sell what was called a "Bait Bomb". The difference being, the "Bait Bomb" left a slit down one side for the line and a small indentation at the bottom for the bait to fit into. Once you had placed the line into the slit, you just squeezed it to close the slit.

Gardner brought out the same item with the same name a few years later and when I peeled off the label on my Badger one, there was another label with Italian writing on so Badger must have got them from Italy.

I still use mine to this day, I bought mine at the Go Fishing show at the NEC Birmingham in 2002. I saw it on the Badger stand, it looked interesting, the lad on the stand didn't have a clue what it was for and I didn't, but I bought one and eventually fathomed out what you do with it.

But the idea goes back to late 60's, as Efgeeco used sell a pack of 6 groundbait "balls' that were stick shaped with a hole in the middle and an indentation in the bottom for your bait. I used buy a pack every session if I was using small baits. The good thing was, in those days most of the time you freelined with no lead on your line, so using one of these sticks, you got some extra weight to cast and it was a doddle to cast a bunch of maggots etc out about 30 to 40 yards. Jim Gibbinson wrote about them in one of his very early books.

Another thing you can do is actually premake your sticks at home and dry them out. The advantage being, they might be lighter, but far firmer for casting and no worry about pulling out if the mix is soft.

Are you sure?
