I've got a trakker quicklock rodpod and ngt profiler 2 piece 6ft rods

I'm after butt rests used new direction magnets before

Need them easy quick release but firm what would you all recommend

Should I go with the jag lockdowns ?

If you use the search facility on the forum you will find lots and lots of threads discussing peoples views on locking butt rests.

My view is that you cannot beat the large size mini butt grips from ESP for duplon handles, they will do exactly as you have asked.

Will they lift my pod in the air

My rods are the skinny

I've got the esp on my abbreviated rods and love them but found they marked the shrink on my other rods despite them not been very tight. The fox butt rests fit much better and don't mark the shrink, so for full length handles I would avoid the esps.

The nd ones are not very good for pods as they lift the pod up when I pick up the rod

Don't pick your rod up horizontally...
With locking butt rests you need to grip by the reel as normal, and lift the rod tip up, then you are "turning" the rod out of the butt rest.

I always peg my pod down when I use it
I'm going to look at the jag rod lockers

Jag lockdowns are the best I've used but tbh I haven't used many in recent years I've used these since they came out, the nd ones are awful in my opinion but each to there own
