I'm just about to prepare a big batch of hemp for a french trip , but it's going to be a couple of days before using it . Freezing might not be an option , thinking of putting freezer blocks into the bucket to elongate the time . Also salting the water 🤔 , but iv always liked it strait .

Could you not use the cool box method and pour in the boiling water at the very last minute so that its cooking while you are waiting to use it? should save you a day... and then make some more using the same cool box if you need more later on?

I take some with me that's been already prepared at home for the first day or so which is usually a 10 kilo buckets worth and then I like to cook mine on the bank in a pressure cooker fresh as I need it especially when its a 1 or 2 week trip so I take my setup with me to prepare on the bank if I want more, that's just me its what I've always done when taking seed abroad I have a big military 18ltr pressure cooker and a petrol coleman stove which is all that's needed.

If you can find one Presure-cooker-1 This is the one I've had it nearly 20 years its a SEB and the beauty is generally spares top locking knob, gasket, handles and valves are generally on sale in the larger French super markets.
Presure-cooker

You can prepare a good 10kg of seed in one go with these,I gauge what I've used the first few days and generally I'll have 10kg on to soak the first night/day as soon as the first lot is getting low and if I'm getting some action the next lot will be put on to cook, if not it'll sit in water for a few days before being prepared.

Vacuum packing it would work. Appreciate you'd probably need to borrow or buy the equipment to do this though.

Or canning/putting it into an air tight sealable container while hot and then and boiling the whole container for 10 min

A nice big glug of hemp oil and a handful of salt will keep hemp for a few days no problem.
