Are they better than Rubén's and if so which ones are the best?

Good morning Colin,
I use digital scales from Reuben Heaton, they're called Digital Scale – 7000 Series.
They do the job as you'd expect, having used both types now I can't say they're better or worse, more personal preference.
They're reliable, easy to use, backlit if required at night and have been fairly robust over the years.

When fishing alone I find digital scales far easier to read than dial scales. I've got the Fox digital and so far can only speak positively of them.

I have the original MK1 fox digital scales and they are not missing a beat after many years. They are that good I managed to get a back-up brand new for cheap when my 1st set give up the ghost. Only 1 minor problem is you need to take the batteries out in order to switch them off which is annoying.
I have a JRC Reuben Heaton Scales and a Wychwood T-Bar Mk2 scale

I have the new fox digitals and would never go back to dials. No more guessing weights while the needle bounces wildly.
Dial Reubens are great, a classic item for big carp and great service from the company. However, mine now sit at home and I use the Wychwood digitals. lighter weight, no need for an additional weigh bar, easier to read and zero accurately and no need to get them calibrated. All you need is a spare set of batteries in the bag, just in case.

I've had a set of Reuben Heaton 9000 digital scales and have found them excellent. Battery life is good and they don't take up so much room as my RH dial. They have a tare setting so you can zero the sling before weighing.

Fox digis are superb coupled with the new jag weigh bar its a super accurate compact package.

+1 for the original mk1 fox digis - mine have never missed a beat and are still accurate . . .the battery flip trick is only vaguely annoying but with the amount I catch not a problem!

I have a bit of a collection of scales built up over the years
I also have a Wychwood Mk 2 set of T-Bar Scales and done lots of tests and found these very cheap scales to be bang on accurate
