didnt have a good reputation with my mate a few years ago his fishfinder stopped working and they ignored all calls and messages .He tried to fix it himself and when he opened it up we laughed and laughed at the mess .It was so bad couldnt help it there was a dirty rock looked like a piece of coral glued into one side to counterbalance the fishfinder .Been accused of making it by the sb bum bandits just wish we could find the old pictures

Had an SB3 with autopilot for a good few years, was a reliable boat while I had it, only sold it as in the end I wasn't using much, never really had any problems with it, Jules seemed a great guy, always had a smile, happy go lucky individual.
I'm sure there will be tales of good bad and indifferent, my dealings with them were always easy.

Always found my SB3 to be very reliable and the service level was excellent. Disappointed for the team.

For looking on the outside - A two man band, according to companies house doesn't look like the business was making any money, coupled with their ages I think this might have been a hobby that they had hoped to take further but their ages, the market didn't make the business financially viable.

Not sure they have gone under in totality - Steve is still taking orders for new boats in stock / supplying parts / bits via the FB Owners Page; Nathan at Southwest Baitboats are now undertaking all repairs / tweaks instead of Jules . . . .I'm considering a cheating winch cam addition to be fitted to my boat over the winter . . .so not completely dead in the water yet!
