Had these many years and not being used any Ideas how much they are worth then need new reel seats. 3.5 TC.

Not sure which rods you are describing, I'm pretty sure that the esp vertex rods never carried the Terry Hearn name.
If it is the vertex rods then absolute maximum they go for is £70 per rod if in reasonable condition, usually they are around £50 per rod. I've had a few sets, and still use two of them, absolutely fantastic rods.

So if they do need new reel seats they're next to worthless unfortunately.
Probably one of the most underrated rods out there IMHO.
Still using my two sets ( 3.25's as all rounders and 3.75's as long chuck) and sold on more expensive and newer rods but kept these.
Always seem to come up on ‘best rods ever' or ‘what do you regret selling' type threads.
And also must be one of the nicest looking rods around today.

problem is most rods you will need to cut the reel seats off to replace them, and depending upon the butt diameter, the seat will need to be slid down past the butt ring, therefore this will need to be removed adding to the cost

Surely most rod & seat combinations are doable from the butt end? I recently did a set of Armalite mk1 handles and reel seats from the butt end without removing any rings. There was plenty of room with DPS seats. It was a far easier job than I expected, but its the first and only time I've done it so you may be right. Obviously handle type could complicate matters, I did full shrink over duplon flares which seemed like the easiest option
