I have my first 48 hour trip for a couple of years planned for this Thursday, and the summer has finally turned up with a bang (in Autumn) and its looking like 32/33 degrees at the highest.
Was thinking zigs may be worth a go in the daytime, and fish over a bed of bait in the evening/night...
So apart from the fact i'll be be like a shrivelled up husk after 2 days of sweating it up, any opinions on if is worth going or is it just going to be too hot for the carp to be feeding?
The lake im going to is between 4-6 foot if that makes a difference

If you can use floating baits I'd be all over the dog biscuits and surface gear. The amount of times I've been on a lake and caught loads of the top when others are blanking on the deck baffles me.

If your fishing a day ticket an paying 25/30 quid a night a wouldn't bother save your money an go next week when you weathers better for it.

Done 2 short overnighters this week, arriving at 8pm and off.
Place usually does a few bites a night but has pretty much shut up shop currently, aside from surface baits.

I've got a few days planned next week Tuesday night to Friday night,praying it's going to get cooler next week then 3 days in October as well

I'm on the bank at the moment, annual holiday from work only chance I get these days so I had to go regardless of the conditions. 34° this afternoon nearly killed me setting up in that heat. 1 fish out last night lake is fishing as hard as I expected. At least I'm not at work.

Well, I did go, got back this morning and packing up in the heat was a pain in the ass.
No fish for me, but a guy who posts on the facebook group has had about 5 30's in the last 3 days so its not like i can blame the weather!
Nice to get out and sit on the bank in the sun for a bit I guess

Surface gear paid off this week for me. 24 hours 6 takes 6 landed. 4 off the top including one of the lakes gems and 3 others upto 29lb. Then managed 2 off a spot at first light. Always take the mixers from April - October
