I've been on the look out for a light weight waterproof jacket for a while, and the Korda Drykore seems heads and shoulders above the rest I've looked at.
I have never owned a single piece of fishing branded clothing, and I'm not sure I could ever bring myself to. However, I've tried all the outdoor shops, and nothing seems to come close.
Any alternatives, or do I have to grow up and wear a fishing brand?

I've just got one of these after my old Army gortex ejected it's seams, not as long as my old one but great a jacket.

Have a look at the castle clothing fortex flex 221 air flex jacket not stupid money under £30 100% waterproof rubber type material so don't soak up the water I use these jackets for both work and fishing and their great

You sound like me!🤣 last year i was in the same position and looked around for a decent waterproof jacket, not just for fishing, but dog walks etc.
After a good look around, i ended up biting the bullet and getting a Korda drykore Jacket in black. I know some people are against branded names etc for carp tax, and i will happily admit i was one of those people, but i have to say i've been really impressed with it.
I pretty much wear it everywhere i go now if its raining, spent a day at Pautons Park earlier in the year and it p**sed it down all day, apart from my feet (stupidly wearing trainers🤦♂️
i was bone dry so the jackets (and trouser's) definitely work!

I'm not into branded Carp clothing (actually that's a lie as I just bought several Kumo tshirts as I like the designs and they were on a massive sale) especially the technical stuff that either keeps you warm / cool or dry; however I rate the Korda Drykore as its light / comfy / stretchy / simple in design and is water proof enough for bivvy fishing . . .also means I don't slime up my expensive Goretex Pro collection . . .looking forward to being able to buy the Kamo Drykore jacket if they ever release it (Korda camo is the only camo pattern I'd ever consider wearing)

You can get the Berghaus Maitland Goretex jacket for about the same price or less than the fishing stuff. Keep an eye on GoOutdoors for their discount weekends, think I paid just over a ton.

ive got the aqua torrent trousers and coat ,totaly waterproof and breathable,plus comfy.

Got this jacket too and I very much rate it. I liked it better than the Korda jacket in terms of the way it was finished.

Nope, I can't bring myself to wear a fishing brand when I am fishing, certainly not going to wear one when I'm not fishing

TBF the Korda kit has very subtle branding - so much so that you cannot really see it . . if your bothered about such things!
