Had the trakker levelite (lumber} for a few years and in the main happy with it. I suffer from lower back pain from time to time and been told that the Solar SP C-Tech Sleep System is a brilliant bed and possibly the best out there. Anyone used both? Your comments would be appreciated.

I have had the trakker els and the now have the solar bed but not the sleep system.The solar is in a different league,the build quality of the solar is superb.The materials feel far better and some does the comfort,it is the best bed I have owned

I had the Trakker ELS original and had a lot of 3 to 4 week trips sleeping pain free on it I have now bought the brilliant Solar ch08
and its the same nice and firm comfortable bed personally I would never ever buy a bedchair system again preferring the versatility of a sep bed and bag/cover

Bed is superb but i would also never have a sleep system. Always prefer to choose my own bag and i find sleep systems very restrictive as there attached to the bed.

I actually prefer a sleep system because the bag is attached to the bed. Amazes me how little thought goes into seperate sleeping bags and the straps to retain them on the beds.
One thing to bear in mind is the bag on the solar beds is hot. I only find it bearable in the winter. Any other time of the year its no good.
Ive just bought a wychwood tactial bag that says its a summer bag. Havent tried it yet but it is lightweightt and thin. cost me £54 and fits nicely. And will definitely be better than the solar bag for the warmer month. Will just move about a bit more than id like it to

Since I switched to separate bag I won't go back to a sleep system,I find moving about far better in a separate bag

Totally agree. Much prefer to move about. I never use the straps on any bag i just lie it on too of bed.

I did my first 48 hr session with my new Solar Sleep System and could not believe the quality and comfort.
I'm 6ft 6ins, and it was great.
You can take the velcro off the bag system, and it is moveable.

Yes its a bit of spenny, but a good nights rest is crucial for me.

Interesting that you fit on it ok, they are only 205cm long you must be close to frame, I'd considered they were too short and I'm 6'4”
Do you have standard or wide ?

Fairly close to the frame, but I don't sleep straight flat, I mainly sleep on my side and knees up a bit if that makes sense. I thought about the wide, but I wanted more room in the bivvy, and this one is plenty wide enough for me.

Yeah that makes sense, what about when laying flat on your back reading, do you still fit within the frame ok, I've had issues when having my feet near the bottom causing me pain in the back of the knees

The solar is my first system and i wouldn't go back to seperates. Love the fact the bag stays still during the night.
The length on the standard is only thing putting me off the bed. Im 6ft and my old flatliter is 215cm long which is a good size. Wonder why the solar is so short
