Hi, I have just been looking at the Shimano X-Aero RA 8000 baitrunner online. Does anyone have experience of these good or bad. i quite fancy buying three for an upcoming French trip but cant seem to see much in the way of reviews on line. Thank you

Im a big fan of Shimano rear drag baiturnners and have multiple sizes/models in GTE-C's thru to XTR RA Super Baitrunners. I added and really like the X-Aeros .... I had 10,000 originally and regretted selling them and have since bought 8000. The bigger spools over my other Baitrunners is a big improvement for carp fishing and I prefer them over big/mini pits myself (unpopular opinion im sure). I think they feel better made, more solid than the equivalent priced big/mini pits

They are great reels- bigger spools, nice line lay, really gutsy gears -use them for barbel fishing where i can be cranking heavy feeder & leads.

Me too I recently got 3 brand new Shimano 6000 XTEA boxed never been used
and already got a pair of the Shimano 8000 XTEA that are like new and had the Felindre Dragon Washers fitted and they make a brilliant clutch an amazing clutch

Do these new washers take away the jerkiness of the rear clutches?
I use my old 10000XTE's for the majority of my fishing and would love a smoother clutch.
