Where are people getting their cork balls from these days? It used to be you could get any of the ‘Grade A' ones from eBay and they were pretty consistent with plenty of air holes. Now there seems to be a lot more of the glued up reconstituted stuff that isn't as buoyant. Ideally looking for 13/14mm and 100 will do. Thanks.

TCarper posted about the lack of availability of decent corkballs in the Specialized Hookbaits thread. Not an 'answer" as such but tallies with the issues you seem to be facing....

There are still eBay sellers with images that show the kind of air holed proper cork you would expect, just wondered if anyone knew of one that actually sent these out rather than the glued up dust rubbish.

I've bought a few from different sellers on eBay over the last few years, and they've all been crap, so I don't bother now. I use cork granules instead

If you buy them in 50 bags from an online shop. ESP, Gardner, TA branded ones... All of these are Siesta cork balls. All will be mustard.

It's a false economy to buy cheap ones off Fleabay. As you are all finding out, they will be crap. Fleabay sellers use any old photo ripped off the net, or even another eBay listing.

Spend a bit more and get good ones. All those listed above will be cut from one solid bit of cork. 12mm for 15mm finished cork ball. 13mm for 16mm finished cork ball.

Thanks for replying TC. I don't need more than 100 in one go and not fussed about the money so I'll just get the ESP or TA ones.
