Totally mundane question but I want a nice bait spoon to load my bait boat but also to mix the mix in the bucket.
Are the nash ones sturdy and long lasting? I think they are designed more for throwing bait. (Steve Briggs uses them)

The cheap gardner ones will do you wont they? 2 for £5 ish. About the same size scoop as a medium spomb

I use a simple metal scoop usually used for pet food and seeds:

I use the metal scoops at the moment, but you can't really mix a 10kg bucket using them.

I already use cheap scoops and I want something with a handle so I can mix a full bucket with it. I don't want a four Yorkshiremen style competition to see who can spend the least on what I've already got and don't want.

If you are talking about the Nash spoons with the big grippy rubber handle like this...

Then I have tried the larger size for baiting a large area from a boat. Don't bother. The rubber handle twists while trying to mix the bait up in the bucket. Went back to a £3 green plastic one.
I'm all for keeping things light and agile, but seriously, who wants to be elbow deep in squid and liquid liver if they don't have to!

Oh FFS! I didn't get any feedback so ordered one this morning
Maybe I will glue it together, it's more for mixing in buckets and loading my bait boat.
Oh well if it's crap I will go back to using a £2 scoop.

I've stopped buying anything other than bait and tried and tested terminal tackle online now. If I'm unsure then I shoot down to Danson or The Tackle Box to get it in my hands. There's so much dross out there.
