I'm looking to start using braid mainline again ..
Looking for suggestions..
Leaders are banned so I need one that is strong enough to cast a 4oz lead 100/120 yards and 1 that is good with the odd sharp bar /snag ..

Have a look at Sufix 832. It is labelled as sinking but I would say it was neutral, a good casting line.

My personal preferences have been TA SBX and Power Pro.
They differ a fair bit though.
TA SBX is a heavy, thick braid (I think 0.49mm), with a bs of 40lbs.
Power Pro is a thin, much lighter braid with multiple bs options. I've only used the 44lb bs with a diameter of 0.28mm.
Without any doubt the PP is much much the better for casting, however the TA SBX, despite actually being a weaker breaking strain, does feel like it could pull a yacht to shore
I managed just shy of 80 yards with a 3oz lead using the TA SBX, but was hitting the clip with fair ease at just under 100 yards with the PP, again with a 3oz lead.
I've had carp in France to just under 60lbs on both, so both stood up to the test, but only the SBX was put through the mill really, into snags of sunken and overhanging branches and pads.
Your casting technique could well be a fair bit better than my own, and coupled with a heavier lead, you may be able to get the distance you require with the TA SBX.
I couldn't put you off either braid though to be honest, so I hope this helps a little

The Gardner hydro sink noir is good at 25lb bs and .35mm
Sinks really well.
You should get 120 with that

jumping on the bandwagon, casting distance not an issue (rarely over 50yds) but sinking, good abrasion resistance and sinking a must - recommendations?

Gardner Hydro Sink Noir or Thinking Tackle SBX
Both sink very well, I prefer the Hydro Sink just because it's thinner

in that situation I think you would be better off with a fluorocarbon line

If you only need to cast 50 yards and sinking and strength are key then the Thinking Anglers SBX is the one. If I had to cast 120 yards I'd use .28 Power Pro.
