After a bit of help please.
I use butric in my hook-baits and am super confident in it and the doses - so no questions there - what I am wondering is does anyone know (for certainty) any liquid that it is 100% soluble in. I can't stand the stink of the stuff and would rather mix with 'something' then just add / use as I go. I have check all over the place regards minimino, flavours, alcohol etc but getting very mixed directions. Last thing I want to do is mix, shake then find out it is not dispersing into the 'carrier'.

I am thinking I am hunting unicorns as almost everything I see is about drops with egg at mixing, this will cost me my wife come winter.....

Nutrabaits used to do a Pineapple flavour with NB acid in it. I believe there are other flavours too. I guess the question would be how many drops per dose are you actually getting if you have a preferred level

I know this might sound too obvious but just experiment, although I appreciate that it won't be easy in darker liquids, but I would try water, mpg, vodka and glycerine first. If none of those worked I would try a thin oil like Hemp oil. I'm sure it will dissolve in one of these.

I know less than next to nothing regarding bait, but my two pennies worth is as follows:

I simple terms n butric is an acid, so theoretically should mix quite easily with water.

I dont think you are dissolving the butric in water, more diluting with water or any liquid for that matter.

However as butric is a fatty acid,it may mix better with oil bases rather than water.

If the butric is clear you should be able to see any separation with darker coloured liquids.

Are you thinking of making a bottle up and using as and when needed?

I would do a few small batches of 5ml or so and leave to see if it separates,

Yes Butyric acid is soluble in water, and it is able to be mixed (it is miscible) with other solvents, especially acetic acid.

Just don't mix it with calcium chloride if you want it to stay liquid.

Thanks for reply and therein lies the problem.

I have seen the same and done some experimenting and am very unsure it mixes, as butric is clear ish either nutra baits have achieved something nobody else has done or it is a shake and use solution that bothers me.

I get it's water soluble and I will dissipate in a like for like acid base, but I would like to find a carrier / flavour combo that mixes perfectly - has a good shelf life and doesn't stink like Gemma Collins after a 34 mile bike ride.

The nearest I have got is Jason Rider who knows more about bait than I could ever know who certainly blended some bulk soaks -BUT - I don't really want to go multi blend, and was looking for if anyone knew a base that absolutely blended. Happy to do the ground work and tests but even colouring the crap and mixing skews results as you have then introduced a 3rd factor (colouring even powdered) to an already complicated equation.

I think I may stick with drops in eggs and just hope I get the dog and Bose speaker in the inevitable divorce. Last night she said to me you love carp more than me, honey, I love bream at 3am more than you....

Should be soluble in alcohol. So EA flavours are worth a go...

Solar Pineapple Secret also included N-butyric acid, so it's not unique.

Which actually creates another problem in that it is used in existing flavours already; butter, butterscotch, caramel, cheese, fruit and nut flavours may be on N-butyric acid.
