I made these pop-ups around 3-4 months ago which were air dried and then kept in an airtight tub.
Originally they were a reddish brown colour.
I've not been out fishing for a few weeks and the baits had changed in that time.
The only thing i did differently was to add some brewers yeast to the pop up mix.
Can i assume that some sort of fermentation has occurred?
They do smell "yeasty".
Will they still be ok to use or should i bin them?

Yeast can still ferment in a vacuum (which your pop up tub probably isn't) so you can safely bet that it has done so. You could try one on one rod and see what happens.

Personally I'd definitely use them and the potential cause may well be that any wild yeast or friendly bacteria present has fed on the brewers yeast and multiplied causing the coating. All good in my book👍
