Ive seem a couple of these alarms recently and they are very expensive, are they just a different plastic case and how do you go about getting a set? Love the look of the bug eye ones.

Does steve just make them as a one offs now and again or can you order them. Not sure why they are so much more expensive if they just have a different harder wearing plastic case.

Yes seen those, they sell very quickly. There was even a white set.

Can't believe the different material justifies that price. I'm from a plastic machining company and Delrin is the cheapest material out there nearly.

it's not so much the material change that makes them expensive, its the vey limited numbers they are made in.

So they sell alarms that dont crack when tightened up, but only in limited editions? The readily available ones are still made from the material that cracks?

If that was a larger firm doing that there would be outcry

I might have this wrong but whilst Delrin is cheap and strong, it apparently doesn't injection mould like the normal cases so the cases have to be turned (is that the right term for plastics?) therefore manual, therefore time consuming.

I think that's where the increased costs come from?

Happy to be shot down for talking rubbish though

Correct. They are milled out of a solid block of Delrin.

Perhaps they could just be manufactured properly in the first place. Delkim and fox are most likely injection moulded, and they dont have these issues
