Whats the difference between the nd1 smart boat and the nd2 and which is the better one and is there a better boat at this price range?

ND2 is the better boat by a distance pal. Bigger and more features available.
There is a very good review on here about one in the reviews section. Also a very good facebook page.

Cheers. The nd2 is sold out and it seems to be half the price of the nd1 so thought the nd1 must be better. The nd2 does look better from the photos.

They generally sell them in batches mate, which usually sell out quite fast.
If you give them a follow on social media they generally post in advance of the sale date to say they will be putting them back up for sale.
I don't use mine in the uk, but would definitely recommend getting the GPS/auto pilot update once you get one.

Cheers. Are they reliable as a couple of friends have had a few nd items and they didnt last very long. Ive never owned anything that they make but the boat looks decent. I was going to get a bespoke bait boats pd33 but it seems total overkill for how much i will use it and its 3 times the price.

Just make sure you charge the battery and try it in the boat before you take it out, there been some duff ones. Also helps if you file a little groove in the rear of the door to allow leader or tubing to sit in or else the door can stick shut.

nd2 is a great boat for the price, mine has been faultless. The only issue is now they ship with half the capacity battery as they used to, I bought an extra battery plus y connector which helps but I find a 48hr just about empties them.

Someone on the nd2 group on fb put me onto a company that sells much bigger batteries that are designed for the nd2 so if i get one will get one of those and a bespoke angling supplies make for the nd2.

Really how much did you use it? I've only got one set of batteries set up on mine and it was the one that came with it, I used it for 3 rods for 48hrs about 60 yards each time and it was still at 70% when I finished the session and they got sent out about 8/10 times each over the time I was there (resetting and had fish)

Yep very good battery packs, though Samsung did have their problems a few years back with their galaxy notes catching fire and leading to a massive recall they blamed it on their batteries. Panasonic also, no manufacturer is perfect.
The main point is lithium battery's do require looking after, keep them safe in a suitable fireproof container and don't let them get too cold. Alex @ Al provides some documentation in the box when you take receipt of his battery's .
