I'm looking at getting a new net as the two trakker ones I have had have been frankly crap, I'm not looking to break the bank but I can't be dealing with these trakker ones anymore as both have very shallow mesh so leaving the fish in the net is almost impossible if they are any larger than 15lb or so

Why not just buy a deeper mesh if thats the only issue ? Free Spirit do a very good deep mesh.

Did you buy the right size mesh? There shouldnt be huge differences in the construction of the nets from brand to brand

Agree with Chris in Post#3, the Sonik Vader X RS @ £25 is a decent net at a good price. A true bargain.

I use the Advanta Discovery CX Rover Landing Net, does a lot for the price.

If they are 42inch nets, a 42inch mesh should fit.
I've replaced the mesh on my Fox Warrior net a few times after joining holes with the occasional treble getting stuck in, or a mouse causing grief.
Nothing wrong with the existing net, but I have just purchased a Rod Hutchinson 42inch Sceptre landing net so I have 2 for carp fishing.
£60 for the one piece handle.
