Anyone found a puncture proof wheel with a bit of give in it? I tried a solid rubber one and it kills your shoulders! Wickes do a Haemmerlin ( I think that's how you spell it ) that looks ok but wondering if anybody has tried it?

Put the one from carp porter on my ancient mk2 last year, why I didn't do it a decade ago I'll never know. Just glides over the ground, not that I've had the opportunity to run it over really bad ground.

The yellow Walsall universal one from Screw fits on my Fox Explorer. Think it needed a couple of washers, but it comes with various reducers for different barrows. More of a dense foam than hard rubber, so has a bit of give.

The carp porter one is 55 quid and doesn't seem to be listed in stock anywhere anyway. How would you say the Screwfix one compares to a pneumatic tyre on stony/hard ground? I have a duff shoulder so really bumpy is not good ( like the solid rubber ones).

When I had my carp Porter they sent me 2 wheels and a load of spare parts too so I sold wheel to my mate both wheels were puncture proof

I prefer it to the pneumatic on both soft and hard ground. I try and travel light though, not sure what it would be like if you're a kitchen sink guy. If you go into a screwfix I'm sure they will let you have squeeze before you buy.

What size are the carp porter front wheels are they std wheel barrow size they do have std wheel barrow wheels on i.e 14inch

Not sure on size - I'm at the lake. 12-14” I would say. I'll happily use a barrow wheel but I need to know if the new type of puncture proof wheels/tyres are up to 100kg plus and aren't like the solid rubber tyres which I found to be VERY bumpy !

There's 2 types foam filled or solid , foam filled one's are yellow tyres though and are roughly £19 ,the solid one's are £12 black tyres, I've fitted modified a few for lads on the lake's I put roller bearings in them 25mm outer 10mm shaft , I can't advise either with you saying you have a shoulder problem ,it's the solid one's I use I've not felt the foam tyres

I bought the Haemerllin one and it was too big for my Nash barrow.
I ordered a normal wheelbarrow sized one off eBay and it's ok, but not as good as the one I bought from Toolstation years ago, complete with carpy white inner, that has been excellent and is still good after about twelve years.
