Solar undercover 2 man bivvy
Anyone got any feedback on these? Need a cheap 2 man bivvy for when my daughter comes fishing with me, will only be used about 8 nights a year so doesn't have to be any thing special just a decent shelter, can get the green version for £190 from tackle tavern and the camo version for £200 from TFT
Just wanted some experience and if it's worth paying the money for one, I have a frontier X for my normal bivvy but need something a little bigger to fit 2 bedchairs in for when she comes

I have the undercover brolly in green and a 1 man undercover bivvy in camo. Assuming the material is the same on the 2 man version (which it should be) I would suggest that there is very little difference, if any, in regards to the quality of the materials therefore down the asthetics and which you prefer. If anything the green offers a little more shade than the camo, but it is quite minor

Thanks bud I didn't mean the material difference In colour I just meant build quality and if it's a decent bivvy that's all bud 🤣 sorry should of been more specific with that but I don't care about which colour I get lol
It's only going to be used a few times a year but still wanted a decent one for us to use when she comes

I think Solar shelters are proper quality
I have 2 the Solar Spider and the Solar Undercover brolly system both extremely well made with quality parts
that 2 man bivvy is a steal at that price RRP is double that !
you can even buy as an optional extra an inner dome if she is worried about the spiders etc

That's what I was thinking it seems a very good deal at those prices. I've never had a solar shelter but don't think they would be bad just thought I'd check, she isn't to worried about bugs which is good else that would of been a problem lol

In that case I can happy recommend for you. It's well made, easy to put up and whilst I've only used the bivvy a handful of times, the brolly has taken some abuse and has stood up to everything so I'm very happy with the build quality. Both are very good prices so I would suggest go for it

Thanks to you both you both seem happy enough with it so I went ahead and bought the green version managed to get another £15 off so in the end I paid £175 for the solar 2 man undercover green bivvy, fingers crossed it's ok and will do when she comes with me

Will do mate going to give it a test run in a couple weeks and take her fishing with me if it warms up, either way I might just leave my frontier x at home n give it a go we all love new gear lol

Ive had a camo one for about 2 years.
Have done two week long sessions in France with it on my own, and also done about 6 or 7 weekends in it either fishing or camping with the Mrs and Dog.
Its solidly built as you would expect from solar. It will easily fit two beds in it with a fair bit of room for bags etc for a weekend fishing. Pretty easy to put up just needs a few goes on it.
Only thing i wasn't impressed with was the inner capsule you get. Its not sized great so you cannot fit two beds in it and also when its in you don't have much room at the front for chairs etc. On your own for a week in France i can see it being ok.. but im not that bothered about it.
I have asked them a few times to so a wrap for it to help with cooling in summer etc. and give a tiny bit of extra room at the front. They replied and said they were looking at it once but never seen anything and my guess is they will release something else instead.
Overall well worth the money if you are not using it regularly.

Perfect thanks for that and the capsule won't be a problem because I didn't bother with it, I'll only be using it a few times a year when I go with my daughter like mentioned below mate, just wanted a decent sized 2 man so this sounds perfect, it actually turned up this morning so didn't take long to get it at all

Yeah just have a few go's at putting it up.
I found that its easier to start from the back and tension it in sections.
