I have 2 landing nets, one with a good mesh but a broken arm, the other with 2 good arms and a knackered mesh. The nets aren't identical, but they have the same sized arms and the same connection from the arms to the net cord. They're an angled piece of plastic with the cord fitted in one end and hollow end for the arm on the other end.

So, I was wondering if I could make one good net out of these. Problem is the arms are really stuck in to the angled pieces, I guess they're glued in. Does anyone have any tips on how I can get them out without damaging anything?

Steam the granny out of the ends and just keep twisting till the glue gives mate, mind the fingypoos though, grip with some non serated pliers if possible

Just take the good mesh off the knackered arms and thread it back onto the good arms, or am I missing something?

As steve says can you not just thread the arms through the net mesh's? you dont normally have to take the net cord or net cord ends off to change the mesh just thread the mesh onto or off the arms.
you thread the net onto one of the arms then maneuver it round onto the cord and then onto other arm

As others have said , you shouldn't need to remove the cord .

You're right lads, I'm a thick so and so. No need to disconnect the cord. One good net now sorted!!
