I know they're the home office security contractor now, they've just arrived in a hotel in Hereford that the Government have done a deal with the owners for 120 migrant asylum seekers and never bothered with a representative turning up to the Parish council meeting called last Friday following the news being given locally a week or two before, the meeting was called for by the Parish council as locals were voicing their opinions/concerns online, the two local councilors for this area never turned up either.

Interesting that our lovely home secretary and Co are on the 'stop the boats' 'reclaim our borders' PR mantra.... promising no pesky asylum seekers for their particular chosen audience....
Whilst at the same time awarding lucrative contracts to fraudulent companies like serco who then promise landlords guarantees of rent for thousands of asylum seekers...

They did the same in a Luton hotel or somewhere else like that a couple of months ago
Cancelled weddings funerals christenings the lot as this contract was worth more to the hotel than The bookings allegedly

Same in this instance in Hereford, although the failure of this Hotel has been on the cards for a longtime there have been a few planning applications put in for use of the ground, one was for a Lidl store to be built.
Obviously they say in the link that it takes approximately 12 months for their application for asylum to be processed the problem is the Home office is failing this target then you have the new asylum seekers being housed when rooms become available with the new asylum seekers entering the country taking their place, add to that those that get lost in the system/disappear opening up further vacancy so how long will the hotel actually be used for? this could be years with the backlogs and more arriving daily and if the asylum seekers then take up residence in the City the infrastructure of a small city like Hereford just will not cope, a few years ago they merged about 5 doctors surgery's into one super surgery built for the purpose of a growing city population one being my surgery where getting an appointment was never an issue, within 18 months of being open and well before the asylum seekers arrival it went from calling reception for an appointment to logging your health issue on the online HSG group website where some one will review in the next 5 days and then asses if you need to see a doctor, this same surgery has just taken on the responsibility of taking the 120no asylum seekers on their books, yes we have to be charitable but when were struggling to cope as a country looking after those already a citizen it kind of smarts with some, nothing to do with being racist just a case of looking after number one and my own.

Isn't serco owned by the husband of that old bag teresa may, who was prime minister at the time of the Olympics. And serco was awarded the security contract for that, and was unable to supply the man power, and the army needed to be called in to assist.

I'm not sure an asylum seeker is someone who travels across continents, through numerous safe countries, to jump in a boat and cross the channel to get here. Those are national security risks, and should be treated as so.
You can fly anywhere in Europe for £30. These people pay £5000+ to be smuggled in. Why is that?
A real asylum seeker is someone fleeing war etc, in their own country, and is seeking a safe place to live. Most asylum seekers here should be ones we are going and getting and bringing here. Like those from Ukraine for a recent example.
