Anyone got any of the prologic brollys I am looking at the the c series 55 just for days just wanted to know are they cheap and nasty or ok I was looking at the solar but don't need front or g sheet and at double the price bit of a waste feedback please

Not a review of these but if for day sessions only the Advanta one is very good value for money. Used it last summer in some heavy thunderstorms in France and it stood up well (far and away the worst conditions I've used it in). Fairly light, is a brolly so easy to set up and pack down. For less than £100 (I actually paid a fair bit less than that in one of their numerous sales) it really is good value

Not that exact one but I got a nearly new Prologic Inspire brolly system off ebay for a bargain £80, I was happy with that as it was quite expensive new, £300ish. Glad I didn't pay that as it turned out to be complete dog ****.
It had some nice touches, zip in ground sheet, separate zip on front panels, vents at the back and sides and seemed well made. But after 6 months hard use it had deteriorated and looked 10 years old. The seams came away quickly and the coating on the inside peeled and flaked off. It then had the waterproof qualities of a paper bag.
I got so angry one day after another midweek overnight soaking I drove to work and lobbed it in the skip.
Utter junk.

This sound like my experience of an Avid shelter. Ticked all boxes, looked great for 6 months then fell to sh**. I just stick with Trakker nylon now. Middle of the road and does a lasting job.

This is exactly what I was was worried about think I leave it I have a tempest but bit big for days I think does anyone use a tempest for days

Have a look at the Wychwood Tactical Brolly, they do excellent brollies (or did??). I had one a few years back with an overwrap, had it a few years and was still in excellent nick, and stupidly sold it.
You can buy the bare brolly and add the groundsheet and front if you wish. There's also a few secondhand on Faceache.

Used my tempest air for days as it was so light and small to pack down!
Plus is the weather turns your well protected.

Ya I've had the wychwood mhr 50 stupidly sold it none come up for sale and the tactical had leaking problems as I said I don't want a front or g sheet it's just for days I have a tempest maybe use it for days

I got a Solar Brolly second hand.
Must admit it's great for quick overnighters and would recommend for day sessions.
