Looking like the French will be having fuel strikes in the coming days
With the onset of the pension reform pushed through with out a vote
With the strikes going on in Paris. It is quite possible if you are travelling to France
In the next few days that getting fuel could be an issue. I would definitely
Keep an eye on what's going on in the French media

Same dates as me I will definitely be needing a tank full for the return leg from Rainbow, I hope there is no strikes on carrying two Jerry cans of stinking diesel in with my kit will give me nightmares.
I had a right disaster on one trip when the screw top lid on a 20ltr drum I took leaked this was in 1999 with fuel shortages reported in France so I took two drums, an hour on the road and climbing the Birdlip the smell of diesel filtered into the cab pulled over and see a little stream of diesel down the side of the one drum probably only leaked 100ml of stinking diesel at most and had collected in the footwell of the side door some had soaked into the ply floor and a bit soaked into the one kit bag.
Good job it was June and warm so I could keep the windows open, when I got to the port I binned the one bag in a big wheelie bin which had my spare clothes in, they were alright it was just the base of the bag, I and managed to get the cook bag out boiled up a few kettles of hot water and washed it down with hot soapy water, it still ponged a bit on the way down.

No fuel problems as yet over here (I live in France).
Look out for road closures in and around towns and cities, including dual carrigeway type roads on strikes days (type "jours de greve" or "jours de manifestation" into google and it should show up dates).
Next big day of strikes and marches is the 6th April.
