Just bought a Deeper Pro Plus and am looking for a cheap rod to cast it upto 70mtrs.
They recommend a 3lb T/C so am I correct in thinking I should be looking at a Marker Rod and do these have smaller eyes than the carp rods? Dont want a big 50mm butt ring.
I was hoping to cast it on my 1.75 T/C barbel rod but I'm worried it may not be upto chucking 3.5 oz at that distance without something going crack.
Any advice/ recommendations please?

10' Freespirit CTX SPM will do you nicely . . .or maybe the new Helical in 11'

I've got a spod,marker & device rod 10' for my deeper and spomb as well it's ideal for what I need no casting far etc I'm currently on a put in middle of my town which is 50' deep in places and it's thrown up some surprising depths,I've fished the place for over 40 years and it's opened my eyes.
Got the rod from the tackle box almost 3 years ago I believe it's a darenth valley rod around 3.5/4lb test curve cost less than £70.
