calling any decent casters out there.
Looking for any recommendations for a premium 13ft spod rod for long range work. Particularly if you have tried a few.
I know everybody's technique may be different etc etc. Just looking to narrow it down to a couple or so premium models.

I have the original Fox XT 13ft Spod Rod which I used for distance work for years. But you have to use good technique to compress it.
Now I use the Century C2 13ft Spod Rod and can cast a bit further but its a lot easier to use which is the main benefit. But it's still quite a heavy rod though.

Friend of mine used a 13ft code rod, custom built, he fishes comfortably to 35 wraps, I haven't personaly used them but they look well made and seems to do the job their made for

The 13ft tackle box rods are proper weapons. I use the 12ft to 160 yards. Me mate has the 13 and I struggled when I had a go. Would need more practice but he'd hit 180+ with it.

13ft aviator spod. Unbelievable blank. Ive tried a lot of fs, century and other harrison blanks.
As already mentioned, the original fox xt 13ft is the only one that comes close.
Im a fairly big caster (couple of lessons, lots of practice, tall, good hand speed etc) and this made distance spodding (up to about 160) an absolute doddle. Not that it matters but i can do 200yds with a 5oz lead and korda spod braid
Im on my second one now, managed to stand on the 1st one after 7 years. If i ever need another, it'll be one of these
If you look at Harrison, dont be tempted by the 13ft trebuchet spod. The fishing blanks are great but the spod rod is a back breaker

I've currently got a Daiwa Basia 13ft spod rod, that'll probably get you any distance you want, think TFT sell them exclusively, got mine from them for £280 in one of their sales.
