Morning all, I'm after a bit of advice here. I posted a thread in the Classifieds Valuation thread a while ago about pricing an original solar globetrotter pod but no-one answered. Maybe it's not a very well used thread anymore but hopefully the mods will let me ask the question here... what would be a fair price for the pod?
I'm aware that they are advertised for silly money in some places (e-bay) but I just want to price it fairly, not sure what is 'fair' in such an inflated market. It comes with the bag and 2 tri-posts, as well as some solar 3 rod buzz bars with goal post adaptors. The pod has been well used but still functional - I need to clean it up as it's been sitting in the loft for years. The bag is tatty, the tags on the zips have gone but, again, is still functional. I just want to price it fairly and to get rid! Any ideas on what I should be asking? Thanks for looking.

I have both the original Solar Globetrotter and Sod pod in perfect case and tube, they seem to currently list at around £300-350 and £150.00 on selling sites but they seem to hang around for a while, I dont think I paid as much as that for either of them new 20 years ago.
I think if you want to realistically sell your globetrotter without it hanging around £200/£230 maybe is fair price

I've seen the original mk1 globetrotter go for about £250..,my lad has bought a average condition sodpod ,off of ebay, for £60..
I reckon ,if yours is in polish able condition you might get over £200 for it,the bag doesn't matter as who ever bought it could get another made up Army Andy or CCPS,for example...
They nice pods...send us a pic ,and I'll.show my neighbour, he's after a pod,worth a go !

I used to have the Solar Worldwide + the Global conversion kit + extension bar + Anchor and bankstick 4 rod and 3 rod buzz bars in cases total as new sold it as a package for a tiny fraction of todays crazy prices
but I was happy at the time and made a forum member a happy man so no complaints
today you can buy easily as capable sky pods for £80 to £150 if you dont want the bling of Stainless

Except the plastic collars under the threaded adjuster on the solar sticks need a little maintenance every now and then I'd agree.

Indeed, but you can get new ones for free through your solar dealer.
Received a couple of them 3 years back when i requested my local tackle shop if they had any idea if the could get hold of these bits.

No tackle shops anywhere near me that stock Solars kit, I will email them direct see if they'll send me some.
