I've been offered a set of Cardinal 755 reels. Where my uncle reels. Just wondering if that any good? As I remember them years ago but don't no a lot about them. Also some Mitchell center pin reels witch are probably as nearly as old as me ( and I'm 44) been told I can sell them and give the money to a charity if that are worth anything.

The Cardinal 755,go for around 50 to 90 quid,depending on condition.and whether they are boxed..they would make a nice short rod,short range reel,the clutch is very good..

Mitchell are famous for egg shapers,like the 300 for example,not sure they made centrepins ,or are those you have fly reels with a single handle knob,in that case they would be fly reels..

Cardinal 755 were my first proper set of carp reels. 1980,s. They are good reels with a good clutch but the spools will look tiny compared to modern carp reels.

tbh, i loved my 755 reels for piking and heavy carping back in the day. Value wise though was around £25/30 each, not that much more
