Hi lads, does anyone know if they still do the straight handles as I can't find them anywhere?if they have stopped making them is there any other alternatives? I'm after a set for my porterlite, love the barrow but handles are no good for me cheers

This is probably one of the easiest fixes of all time.

Measure the internal size of the square tube you want it to fit into and the length you want.

Go on eBay and order the length x 2 that you need. Have a quick think if you want the same thickness as you're replacing (often quite thin for economic reasons rather that longevity) prior to ordering.

But a rattlecan of paint to match.

If you want to be posh buy a pair of bike handle bar plastics/ foam handle covers.

Job done👍

I have the straight bars and they make a massive difference
I'm sure someone said turning the existing ones 90 degrees was a fix to get out of a bind

Thanks for reply's lads, yeah this was going to be my next move some box tube cut down to length, bmx mushroom grips, jobs a good un cheers

Although not completely straight, the Fox Explorer Deluxe barrow handles fit perfect and are an improvement.

I believe you can order them from Fox for £40.

Funny one this. I remember reading on here years ago that the straight handles were better on the Porterlite. Managed to get a pair and didn't get on with them at all so sold them on, each to their own I suppose.

I have the Carp Porter straight handles on both my Porterlite and Mk4s Deluxe barrows ... Absolute game changers imo .... however before they were available i did exactly what previous post suggests and got the tubing and made my own up ..... The Carp-Porter straight handles have a very slight flair outwards to them ..... and this is crucial for keeping the barrow upright when loaded. Completely straight handles made the barrow very unbalanced

I got some straight handles direct about a year ago. They are great. Also got a puncture proof wheel that was rubbish -updated to a powered wheel and sold that on.

Make sure you go for the deluxe handles, as they are slightly longer and straighter than the original versions.

On the fox website they are out of stock, I'm probably going to make my own now to be fair
