Anyone using solar bait?
I used to use their bait years ago, did well with esterblend 12, squid and octopus etc.
Looking on the website it looks like they relaunched their bait,
Anyone using it?

Squid and octopus isn't the same. That's from lockey himself. The savay seed mixes were a shadow of their former selves when I tried them a few years back. Solar told me they were the same mixes just ground down to be not as course and to go through the machines easier. I'm not so sure. I used solar bait more
or less exclusively 20/25 years ago now personally I think there are better options

Yeah same, I used to roll quench mix and make my own bait about 20-25 years ago when I was a teenager, did really well on them.
I was quite surprised to see some of them relaunched

Not their old range of baits but a mate of mine used the Solar SS-K on a trip abroad in October did 18 bites on it, pretty sure its rolled by ABS, reading the Hydra K ingredients list and SS-K are pretty much word for word apart from the Indian Spice.

Nothing is the same, no company rolls the same bait as 10-15 years ago. Name might the same, boilies arent.

Not sure about that, I guess you are kind of correct in the respect that fishmeals are changing but many milks, flavours, additives haven't changed
Baits are changing today for one reason only
Cost!!
This credit crisis we are going through will change bait completely
Unless of course you pay more for it
